Ormiston North East Wolverhampton Academy Sixth Form is throwing open its doors in November to prospective post sixteen students at its annual open event on Wednesday 13th November.
Students who are due to start post 16 studies in September 2020 are invited to visit NEWA to gain a taster of life at the Academy sixth form. The doors will be open from 5.00pm–7.00pm on Wednesday 13th November. No need to book a place, just turn up.
Visitors will be able to see the wide variety and quality of courses that the Academy has to offer students for life after year 11. Also, in attendance will be careers specialists who help students improve their grades further by supporting their applications to top universities. In addition, staff who deliver the groundbreaking football scholarship programme will be available to speak about the scholarship.
Kate Everitt-Smith, Director of Sixth Form, said: “We have an outstanding record of leavers going to university, work or apprenticeships and the support we offer students both pastorally and academically is second to none. Every student is important to us and we hope to enable them on the next stage of their journey.
“We’re coming off the back of some record-breaking open events for year six students coming into year seven in 2020 and we definitely have a feel-good factor right across the Academy. Our outstanding sixth form facility is the hub of young people realising their dreams, whether that be trekking across Canada or getting the grades they need for the next stage in life, our offer is about them.”
The event, on Wednesday 13th November, is open to current students at NEWA as well as external candidates. Please contact Mrs K Everitt-Smith on 01902 623 111 or email [email protected] if you have any questions.
