Free School Meals Update

Posted on: 23rd October 2020

We would like to applaud the lengths that the City of Wolverhampton Council is going to ensure 16,000 Wolverhampton children don’t go hungry this half-term by funding free school meals.

If your child gets free school meals, you can now sign up to a free food parcel delivery, from City of Wolverhampton Council, for the October half-term break. Go to www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/freeschoolmealsoctober or call 01902 290241 (9am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday) to sign up.

Eligibility:

* Pupils have current benefits related free school meals claim
* OR have been referred to the local authority as being vulnerable to food poverty
* AND have not received/are not due to receive a food parcel or a voucher directly from their school

We have been asked to communicate this message to families so they are able to access provision in the form of food hampers. Information, including access arrangements will also be shared through the City of Wolverhampton’s communication channels.

Thank you.
