Peer Mentors

The Willow Project

The Willow Project is a peer mentoring programme designed to help students talk to people who are closer to their age and therefore less intimidating. Our peer mentors; Shenade, Dawn and Summer have been trained by Elle, the school Educational Psychiatrist, and Jennie, the Wellbeing and Inclusion Practitioner, as well as by the members of the SLT team. This programme has been designed to guide students through their queries and be there as a support system.

Our Sixth form students were looking to create an opportunity to support the younger year groups through advice, experience and guidance. KS3 and 4 students will be able to gain additional support to build confidence and develop resilience within the academy. The mentors can focus around specific areas such as:

  • Attendance
  • Wellbeing
  • Attainment
  • Behaviour
  • Peers and friendships

If a student wishes to refer themselves for peer mentoring they can follow the link to a form below and the peer mentors will pick these up as soon as possible.
