At Ormiston New Academy Sixth form, we believe that high standards of appearance create high standards of behaviour and conduct and as such, we enforce a dress code of smart and formal business wear. This creates a professional and hardworking ethos, which enables students to thrive academically.
NEW6 students are expected to wear:
- Smart trousers, skirt or dress
- Plain blouse or shirt – ties for men
- Plain jumper
- Blazer
- Smart shoes
- Culturally appropriate headwear
- If students are a Football or Basketball Academy student, the Football Academy/ Basketball academy tracksuit can be worn each day for both lessons and training sessions.
The Following Are Not Considered Acceptable For Any Student:
- Jeans/leggings
- Short skirts/shorts
- Trainers/ Vans/ Converse
- Hoodies
- Low cut tops or bare midriffs
- Hats/caps
- Coats and other outerwear should not be worn in class/ Sixth Form Centre
