Sixth Form students gathered at Ormiston New Academy this morning to receive their post-16 results, marking an important milestone in their education.
The academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust and located in Wolverhampton, has seen its Year 13 students achieve a strong set of grades which reflect their ambition, hard work, and determination.
The academy saw particular success in health and social care, classics and fine art.
The whole school community has come together to celebrate these achievements, with many students securing places at their chosen universities, in highly skilled employment, or coveted apprenticeships.
While all students have done well, there have been some standout individual performances. These include:
• Luke Swali who achieved Bs in history and Sociology and a merit in Sport and has secured his place to study Law at Aston University.
• Rhiannon Butler who secured two Bs in history and English Literature, and a C in classics and has secured her place to study Criminology at Staffordshire University.
• Shenade Sundy who achieved an A in computer science, a Distinction in applied science and a C in mathematics and has secured her place to study Robotics at University of Sheffield.
• Harry Lewis, who was awarded three Bs in classics, computer science and sociology.
Ormiston New Academy’s vision centres on high aspirations, personal growth, and academic excellence, ensuring that all students leave prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead. As part of Ormiston, the academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing yet challenging environment where every child can thrive.
Craig Cooling, Principal at Ormiston New Academy, said:
“Seeing the joy on our students’ faces this morning has been truly special. They have worked incredibly hard over the last two years, showing real perseverance and ambition, and their results are richly deserved. I have every confidence they will go on to achieve even greater things and contribute positively to whatever communities they join next.”
