Warwick Castle Year 7 Trip

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am pleased to announce that there is an exciting opportunity for Year 7 students to visit Warwick Castle. The day will include a tour of the Castle where students will be able to explore a site that relates to the Norman Conquest that they have studied in their History lessons.

The fieldtrip will take place on Monday 20th November 2023.  We will be leaving school at 8.40am sharp, so your child should arrive to school in their normal way. We aim to return for 4.05pm, so that students will be able to make their normal way home.

I have included a list of the items that students will need to bring with them on the day.

•Suitable footwear for the activities listed above

•School uniform with a warm coat

•Packed lunch or money* for food, students who are on Free School Meals will have a packed lunch provided

•Drinks to stay hydrated throughout the day

*Warwick Castle is a cashless site so students will need a contactless payment card in their name.

The cost incurred for students is that of travelling by coach, entrance to the Castle and the workshops. Students are asked to pay a non-refundable fee of £24.00 to cover the journey there and back. Payment can be paid via Edulink.  Please complete the CONSENT FORM and medical form and return them to the Finance department.

There are a limited number of places available and they will be offered on a first come first serve basis. In addition to the content of this letter, I have attached a Medical and Dietary consent form that will need to be completed in full and returned to the Academy Finance no later than Friday 10th November 2023. Students are reminded that their behaviour prior to the visit must be exemplary in order to attend

If you have any concerns about this or further queries that I have not covered, please contact me at school and I will endeavour to answer your questions.

Yours sincerely
Mr M Connolly
